Nestled deep in the Natchaug River Valley, Nickerson Park Family Campground offers an escape from the bustle and noise of every-day life, while positioning guests at the heart of over 12,000 acres of State Forest.
Whether you prefer tenting along the river, or rolling in style in larger buses, Nickerson Park offers a wide range of campsites; from riverside sites with water, electrical and cable connections, to full-hookup pull-through sites that include 50 amp electrical service and on-site sewer.
The section of the Natchaug River that trails along the banks of the campground is designated as a Trophy Management Area (TMA). Well-stocked with a variety of large trout, the clear waters and dynamic terrain, including deep pools and large rapids, offer our guests access to world-class fishing, and fun for all ages.
No Outside Firewood
Campers Cannot Transport Firewood into CT Campgrounds. Due to Threat of the Asian Long Horned Beetle, Emrald Ash Borer, and Dutch Elm Disease [CT- DEEP USDA-Forest Service].
In Compliance with CT-DEEP and USDA, Nickerson Park Family Campground has a Zero-Tolerance Policy Related to Outside Firewood Entering Our Premises.
Sunday Service
Join us each Sunday from 9-10 am, during the camping season, for a time of fellowship and worship.
Each week, a different local pastor brings the Word.
